GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - The Monster Jam truck tour is back at the Van Andel Arena this weekend!
It's a high energy, high octane show that features several massive trucks driven by athletes who maneuver to do all kinds of stunts.
The WZZM 13 Morning News team got a sneak peak at one of those stunts Friday morning thanks to the talents of Bari Musawwir, a driver who now hails from Orlando, but saw his first Monster Jam truck show at age six in Detroit.
He has known ever since then that he'd like to compete in the Monster Truck Jam. He's been a part of the team for six years. He'll be driving "Zombie" for the Grand Rapids show.
Bari zipped "Zombie" around the arena floor, which was covered in 100 truckloads of dirt for this event. "Zombie" also jumped high in the air, landing with a bounce.
Opening day is Friday, with a show at 7:30 p.m., there are also two shows on Saturday and one on Sunday.
